Five hundred year old Grade II* listed Red Doors Farm is quintessentially Devon. No longer a working farm this historic Devon long house together with its rambling group of flint and thatch cottages, form an enchanting private hamlet nestling within the Blackdown Hills. East Devon is known as the ‘countryside by the sea’ and the unspoilt southern coastline with its pretty fishing villages and smugglers coves is only half an hour away.

The area is superb for walking whatever your level of fitness. You can enjoy fine countryside and fabulous views right from our doorstep, follow the coastal path or explore the wilds of Dartmoor and Exmoor. There are also many historic houses, castles and gardens. There are plenty of attractions for children of all ages from theme parks and wildlife parks to steam railways and farms. Or they could try something different such as sea fishing for mackerel, fossil hunting or pony trekking.

Red Doors is perfect for family holidays or for couples looking for a relaxing hideaway. We have 7 cottages sleeping between 2-8 guests. All accommodation has been individually furnished to an extremely high standard and all are graded 5* by the English Tourism Council. Facilities include indoor swimming pool, games room, children’s’ play area and use of village tennis court.
