Strathmore is a delightful Victorian guest house dating back to the 19th century, with own car park. All 8 en-suite bedrooms have been lovingly restored and offers both individuality along with a high level of comfort to suit all pockets and tastes. All of our bedrooms come complete with Colour TV, Tea & Coffee facilities, hairdryers whilst the more spacious premier rooms also have trouser press and DVD Player.
Whether you are a single guest, couple or a family - we are more than able to accommodate you. We welcome children of all ages as well as pets into our home. it does not matter if you are just looking for somewhere to rest overnight or a short break, we are happy to look after your individual needs.
When you arrive, before going out to dinner or upon your return why not drop into our well stocked cozy lounge bar for a relaxing drink.
When it comes to breakfast no matter whether you are vegetarins, vegan or a meat eater, we offer a wide selection of items including, cereals, yoghurt, Full English or even kippers, we aim to make sure you do not depart for the day hungry.
Located on the main A361 from Barnstaple, Strathmore is ideally situated only a short 10 minute walk away from both the town centre and sea front, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Bicclescombe Park with its pleasant gardens, tennis courts and duck pond is just a very short stroll. In the mornings why not ask for some bread to feed the ducks.
